Think I want to give Zinfandel another shot. I all but dismissed the varietal from my life, no matter how it was produced and no matter how innovative the producer thought he or she was during fermentation and aging. But, now I’m open to a little exploration, a little Zin search, and a little more openness of mind. So… guess I’m due for a trip to Dry Creek. And again, open. To everything. All styles of Zin and, again, regiments and treatments.. everything. Then, I’ll deduce and conclude which sippable shape I’m attracted to. And if it makes me a ‘Zin guy’, then fine. I doubt that will happen, mind you, but I do expect a little more about Zin and my palate’d relationship with it.
