Bottled Thought:  003

This morning driving, 12 toward Napa, the fog topped the vineyards in that poetic way I love, often I’ll stare from behind the wheel then and pull over to snap a still picture.  And that urge overtook me this morning while driving, just past Gundlach Bundschu, Scribe, but I didn’t stop.  I didn’t pull out my camera, but rather just absorbed the moment, no technology, just a simple drive through Carneros.  The fog spoke to me with poignant principle and ordered me to just enjoy the landscape and ambient chords of wine around me; the vineyards headed toward their dormancy and the wineries around them experiencing less traffic than July, August, Labor Day Weekend.  It’s time to be perceptive, visually consumptive, hold to non-complicated bliss.  What I did, exactly, just drove, through the fog, from Napa Road to 12, turning left toward Domaine Carneros, falling further into the savoringly melodic fog funnel.  Just observing– no pics no tech no device.  Just me, the scene, wine’s drive.
